District 17 Public Meeting
The next District 17 Public Meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 25 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Republic Bank, 9600 Brownsboro Road. Steve Schultz, Executive Director of the Louisville and Southern Indiana Bridges Authority, will be the guest speaker. Mr. Schultz will give a presentation on the Ohio River Bridges Project and then answer questions from those in attendance.
Representatives from LMPD’s 8th Division, Metro Codes and Regulations and MSD will also be in attendance to answer any questions.
Neighborhood Institute
The Center for Neighborhoods will begin its upcoming Neighborhood Institute on February 1, 2011. The program will be conducted for 12 consecutive weeks on Tuesdays at the Bon Air Library, 2816 Del Rio Place, from 6-8:30 p.m. Dinner is provided each week.
The purpose of the program is to equip neighborhood leaders with the skills and resources needed to effectively run their neighborhood or homeowner association. For more information or to register for the program, call Lisa Dettlinger at 589-0343 or e-mail her at lisad@centerforneighborhoods.org.
LABA Charity Bowl
The Lyndon Area Business Association (LABA) and the Prospect Area Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the 2nd Annual Charity Bowl for Kosair Charities on Friday, January 28 at Incredible Dave’s, 9236 Westport Road. Teams will consist of four bowlers at a cost of $15 per person. The entrance fee includes one game of bowling, shoe rental, a t-shirt and refreshments.
